Teens going green, Help please.?

Posted by admin on Jun 19, 2009

Okay My Friends and i live in a small town. Very small. Not much goes on but we would like to do community service for going green. Does anyone have any ideas or starter websites that would help us out?

yes you can easily start a community recycling bin, inform people about the dangers of going green, Personally I think getting people to get rid of plastic bottles in exchange for aluminum bottles would be a great idea or getting people to switch from paper/plastic bags to reusable grocery bags. check out my source for more ideas. The website is still under construction but the pages that are up now have good info!

I think recycling is strong first step to take
also try starting an Earth Hour once or a few times a week.
If it's a very small town encourage bike rides or walking instead of driving.
Host a community game night/day where TVS, lights, electronics won't be used. (board games, mixers)

Here is a suggestion – Start saving water. Water conservation is the simplest but most effective ways to go green. Fresh water levels in many parts of the world have dropped alarmingly. Places like Southern California are experiencing fresh water shortage. So, water conservation is very important. Here are some water saving tips to start you off - http://www.bewaterwise.com/tips01.html. Hope this helps!
