Does Green Tea have Caffeine?

Posted by admin on May 11, 2010

I bought one of the big plastic gallons of Community Green Tea. Sometimes I get the diet Arizona green tea. This is the first time I have bought it while I was pregnant. (I know it is ok to have a little caffeine while pregnant). I can’t find anywhere on the container that says whether or not there is caffeine and I am just wanting to know before I decide how much I am going to let myself drink.

It has a little less caffeine than regular tea and way less than coffee.

Green tea is semi-fermented which means it has on average half the caffeine of black tea - it can have a little more or considerably less. Hope this helps.

All green tea has some natural caffeine in it unless the bottle, or box that you get says caffeine free.
