Is it possible to become a millionaire by investing into green energy and biotechnology stocks?

Posted by admin on Apr 17, 2009

I'm 17 now, and after the global recession there is said to be a massive green energy and biotechnology boom which is supposed to be creating several multibillionaires and billionaires, and many, many multimillionaires and many, many, many millionaires. I should have saved up £25,000 made on eBay by then. Is it possible that I could use this money to invest into stocks in these sectors and at least become a millionaire?

Brilliant insight William. I am currently 18. The stock market has changed my financial life. I have prepared for a green energy boom. Now that the people have influenced Obama to spend mass amounts in green energy, this will definitely make ti a major industry, but when? I am not only looking at companies that make hybrid vehicles or solar panels, I have invested in technology companies devoted to create energy efficient products. Last October I placed an order for a plethora of green stocks totaling around 2,600 USD (commisions included) Now its teetering at 3,200 USD. It seems like a modest gain, but in the future they will explode, I am expecting to add a digit to my initial investment. 26,000. and with that, invest more and more. I have done this with before with technological booms in the past. The stock market has profited me over 50k USD. But i'm no day trader, I hold my stocks when they are weak. check out Scottrade.com. NO inactivity fees like everyone else! hold as logn as you like, dont pay 50 dollars every 3 months for not trading! Also, very cheap commissions.

How do I get my community to go green?

Posted by admin on Apr 17, 2009

I have an idea to start a club at my high school, but what could we do to make a change?

there are many things to do to make a difference in your school and community!
-start recycle programs
-advertise about the harms of global warming with posters put around your school
-influence people (with posters or by word) to walk, ride bike, carpool/ public transportation etc. rather than using a vehicle
-influence people (with posters or by word) to check to see if their products were tested on animals, if so buy i different brand that doesn't
-with the club go around your communirty and pick up litter and recycle what can be recycled.
-make fundraisers/ donation bins to donate to charities that go green (ex. include, World Wildlife fund, Jane Goodall institute, pacific Whale Foundation, SPCA, and ASPCA)
-make birdhouses and birdfeeders for local parks and other places
-Educate/ read to the littler kids in your school to inspire them to go green
-plant trees and other plants around your community
**Every little thing makes a difference!!!
I hope my answer helped!

It’s Time to Cowboy Up and Buck the Endangered Species Act [Reader Post]

Posted by admin on Apr 11, 2009

In the 25+ years since the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (ESA) was signed into law by President Nixon it has been used like a shock collar to keep individual States from wandering too far away from the herd. I’s initial purpose was noble, but in the quarter century since its inception the ESA has been corrupted to such an extent that it is completely unrecognizable as a successful, manageable, or even Constitutional piece of legislation. Instead of allowing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, a
